Help me pick some plants for my garden?

I’m making a garden that is 25×25 feet. I live in Commerce City, Colorado. If you don’t knoe anything about the climates there, it’s hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and spring and fall are the only times where the climate is “perfect” and the town is a mile high over sea level. I want an easy to care for or hardy plant and must be safe for birds. Not that I’m planning on having birds there, it’s just that every once in a while I’ll leave my cocketeils in a larger cage outside to enjoy the fresh air.

The smart way to select a plant for a specific area is to talk with your neighbors, visit a local nursery to see what’s available, and contact your agricultural extension agent’s website.

Web search something like gardening in commerce city, colorado. Or, agricultural extension office your county, Colorado. You’ll find your extension agent or maybe a local gardener.

Good Luck.
