Once I listened to German tourists in Spain talk about the United States. They were explaining all the things I did not like the U.S. He said New York was no exception. He said New York had the culture. New York had a European feel to it. He said the Europeans always like New York because of its cultural element. After having traveled extensively in European cities, spending so much money to do very little, I was thinking they were flattering themselves. No European city is something like New York. Yes, fascinating cities of Europe, old cities with so much culture and history, cities that can not be compared with anywhere else, but with one of New York feel? I think not.
New York City can not be compared with any other city in the world. It is the most densely populated city in America North. It is home to the United Nations. It consists of five famous neighborhoods Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island and Queens. If all of these municipalities were the cities in their own right, with the exception of Staten Island, which became one of the most densely populated cities in North America. With 18.8 million people in metropolitan New York, the city has no shortage of people. The city is unique and is one of the most exciting places on earth. Is often referred to as the city that never sleeps. Always something to do in New York. But New Yorkers who make this city what it is. And that includes everyone, the first Italian and Jewish immigrants, aspiring actors, Furious taxi drivers, people who love New York, even people who hate New York.
There is an architecturally fascinating to see in New York. There is a fascinating story to learn. If you want to visit museums you can go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum Solomon R. You can even listen to the Opera in New York for free in Central Park during the summer months, June, July and August. Jazz lovers will enjoy the great names in Radio City Music Hall or Madison Square Gardens or attend concerts closest in the many smaller centers of jazz, where so many big names started.
Surprisingly, it is possible to have a fun and exciting day in New York without spending even a penny. You can go for a long walk in Central Park New York fascinating and then to visit some of many landmarks of New David Letterman and see your favorite band perform at the situation in the best possible acoustics.
